Hermes: privacy policy

Hermes is a private assistant for one family. It works only on phones that the family's administrator has linked to the family's own server, over a private encrypted network. There are no public accounts.

What the app handles, and where it goes

• Your voice. While a call or dictation is running, the microphone audio is sent to the family server, which turns it into text on its own hardware. The audio is not stored. While Hermes is speaking, the phone also listens on the device itself for "Hey Hermes", so you can interrupt it; that audio never leaves the phone.
• Messages, and images you attach. They are sent to the family server and kept there as your chat history. To write a reply, the server sends the conversation to the cloud AI model service it is configured to use. If a question needs the web, a search query goes to a web search service.
• Things you ask Hermes to remember. They are kept on the server in a notes file for your account and used in later conversations.
• Spoken replies. The server turns replies into speech on its own hardware.
• Device key. Linking creates a key pair on the phone; the server keeps the public key and a device ID so it can recognise the phone.
• Call diagnostics. When a call ends, the app sends a technical log (timings, audio route names, sound levels) to the server, where it is kept for 30 days to fix problems.
• Published pages. If you ask Hermes to publish something, that page becomes public at links.mailpro.in. Nothing is published unless you ask.

What it does not do

No advertising, no analytics or tracking tools, no selling or renting of data. Data is used only to run the assistant for the family.

Security

Traffic between the phone and the server travels inside an encrypted WireGuard tunnel. The server is a private machine that only the family's administrator operates.

Your choices

You can delete any chat from the history drawer in the app. To have everything about you deleted (chats, notes, device keys and logs), email enhance.ag@gmail.com. The steps, and what is deleted or kept: Delete your Hermes data.

Children

Hermes is meant for the members of one family. It is not offered to the public.

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it.
